Our Story
In the spring of 1923, in a narrow alley of Guangzhou's Liwan district, a young pastry apprentice named Chen Wenzhi unlatched the door of his very first shop. He had nothing but a wood-fired oven, a wooden mooncake mold carved by his father, and an unwavering belief that a mooncake — round like the harvest moon — could carry the weight of family, longing, and home.
A century later, his great-great-granddaughter He Mei still kneads the lotus paste at dawn, still wraps each mooncake by hand. The molds have been passed down through five generations. The recipes — slow-cooked, hand-folded, never rushed — remain unchanged. But beside them now sit truffle, single-origin chocolate, sakura cream, and ingredients sourced from every corner of the world.
